Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Petroleum Engineer in Sandton to optimize long-term hydrocarbon asset value through reservoir characterization, development planning, and production management.

You will use advanced reservoir simulation, data analytics, and economic evaluation to guide strategic decisions, collaborating with geoscientists and drilling teams to maximize asset performance in Gauteng.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering (Master's preferred).
8+ years in petroleum engineering with focus on reservoir management and simulation.
Proficiency with industry-standard reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, VIP) and data analysis tools.
Solid understanding of reservoir engineering, fluid properties, and characterization techniques.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute integrated reservoir development and management plans.
Perform reservoir simulations to forecast production and evaluate recovery strategies.
Conduct economic evaluations for field development and optimization opportunities.
Analyze production and performance data to monitor reservoir behavior and identify issues.
Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling, and production engineers to optimize asset performance.
