Job summary

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established consulting engineering firm in Johannesburg, is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Technician or Technologist to join their team and lead the design and technical delivery of projects across industrial, commercial, infrastructure and water sectors.

The role requires strong detailing skills, proficiency with drafting software, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project

Qualifications

• Diploma or BTech in Civil/Structural Engineering is required.
• Extensive experience in a structural engineering consultancy is essential.
• Strong knowledge of structural detailing, design documentation and construction drawings.
• Experience with foundation and substructure design, reinforced concrete and structural steel, and large-scale industrial structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and technically deliver a diverse range of structural projects across industrial, commercial, infrastructure and water-related sectors.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accuracy, adherence to codes and timely delivery.
