Placements24 is seeking a skilled Structural Technologist to join our client in Benoni, Gauteng. You will translate design concepts into detailed construction drawings and specifications under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.

The role requires a strong practical understanding of structural systems, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a solid grasp of SA building codes. You will collaborate with architects and contractors to deliver safe, compliant projects on time.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or B-Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Pr Tech Eng or Pr Techni Eng registration with ECSA is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design and detailing, preferably in buildings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Experience with Prokon or similar structural analysis software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SANS codes and SA construction practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the structural design and detailing of building components using steel, concrete, and masonry.

• Utilize CAD software ("e.g., AutoCAD, Revit") and structural analysis software to produce design documentation.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design drawings.

• Ensure all work adheres to South African National Standards (SANS) and relevant building codes.

Requirements
