Job summary

Impact HR is seeking a Structural Engineering Lead to provide planning, management and oversight for major initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and budget while upholding ISO 9001 standards.

You will lead the structural engineering team from concept through completion, coordinating with clients and external partners, managing resources, risk and delivery against high-stakes targets across buildings and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (BSc/BEng/BTech) and professional registration.
• 10–15 years’ post-qualification experience in built environment.
• 5+ years in client-facing project management or technical lead role.
• Registered with ECSA as P.E. or Technologist; SACPCMP beneficial.
• Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary building & infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams to deliver structural engineering projects.
• Budget, resource allocation, quality and profitability oversight.
• Develop project goals, plans and deliverables; monitor progress.
• Client liaison and communication with stakeholders.
• Prepare project plans, health checks and recovery plans as needed.
• Provide technical coordination internally and with external teams.
• Support business development in tendering and proposals.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget project production and reporting.
