The Senior Structural Engineer will lead the planning, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects from feasibility through to construction. The role will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to business development, project procurement, and the successful execution of complex engineering projects.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including project execution plans, professional fee proposals, and cost estimates.
- Undertake feasibility studies, option analyses, and technical due diligence to support project development.
- Prepare and review high-quality technical reports, engineering calculations, and technical specifications in accordance with relevant standards and client requirements.
- Manage and support the procurement process by preparing tender documentation, technical scopes of work, bid evaluations, and tender recommendation reports.
- Contribute to strategic business planning, business development, and proposal preparation.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage structural design resources to ensure efficient project delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to programme milestones.
- Liaise and coordinate effectively with clients, multidisciplinary consultants, contractors, parastatals, municipalities, government departments, and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and manage the delivery of structural engineering projects from inception through to completion, either independently or as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in the planning, design, and implementation of a broad range of structural and civil engineering projects, including commercial developments such as office buildings, retail developments, hotels, and healthcare facilities. Experience in bridges and water-retaining structures would be a further advantage.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight to junior engineers, technicians, and draughting personnel to support professional development and maintain high engineering standards.

Minimum 10 years’ experience, including a minimum of 2 years post-registration.

- Proven experience in commercial developments such as office buildings, retail developments, hotels, and healthcare facilities.
- Experience in the design and delivery of bridges and water-retaining structures will be considered an advantage.
