Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural design of major building projects in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will own design from concept to construction, driving technical excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.

You will mentor junior engineers, perform advanced analyses, and collaborate with architects and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery in a stable, office-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering is required.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural building design.
• Expertise in structural analysis software SAP2000, ETABS and Prokon.
• Strong knowledge of concrete, steel and masonry design principles.
• Excellent leadership, project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for commercial, industrial and residential buildings.
• Perform complex structural analysis under varied load conditions.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Review designs by junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs and construction teams for project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
