Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Kimberley, South Africa, to lead structural design and oversight for infrastructure projects including bridges and treatment plants. You will mentor junior staff and ensure safety, durability, and compliance with local standards.

The role requires a Master’s in Structural Engineering, Pr Eng with ECSA, 8+ years’ experience, and proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS and Revit Structure. Kimberley knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field is required.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• 8+ years of experience in structural engineering focusing on infrastructure.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, Revit Structure.
• Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, and composite structures for infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of infrastructure projects (bridges, dams, industrial buildings).
• Perform detailed structural calculations and use advanced modeling software.
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients and other engineering disciplines.
