The role requires a Master’s in Structural or Civil Engineering, Pr Eng with ECSA, 8+ years of progressive experience, and proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, Prokon,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA.
• 8+ years of progressive structural design and project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of SANS and local regulations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building types using advanced software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and building regulations.
• Manage structural engineering aspects of projects from concept through to completion.
• Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor queries (RFIs).
• Contribute to business development and proposal preparation.
