Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Civil Engineer to join a client in Polokwane. The role leads structural design and analysis of bridges, buildings, and industrial facilities, ensuring safety and compliance while working in a hybrid capacity.

You will develop drawings and calculations using SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, mentor engineers, review third-party designs, and support construction on site. Ideal candidates hold a Pr Eng registration with ECSA and at least 8 years of relevant

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in structural design and analysis.
Pr Eng registration with ECSA required.
Expertise in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro or similar.

Responsibilities

Lead the structural design and analysis of various civil engineering structures, including bridges, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using advanced engineering software.
Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant national building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Perform site inspections and provide structural engineering support during construction.
Review and approve structural designs submitted by third-party consultants.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the structural engineering department in Polokwane.
