Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in structural design and analysis.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• Expertise in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro or similar software.
• Thorough understanding of material properties, load calculations, and seismic design principles.
• Strong project management and communication skills, adept at working in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of bridges, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using advanced engineering software.
• Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant national building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Perform site inspections and provide structural engineering support during the construction phase.
• Review and approve structural designs submitted by third-party consultants.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the structural engineering department in Polokwane.
