Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our client’s Paarl team in the Western Cape. The role focuses on designing and analyzing complex structural systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.

You will ensure designs comply with SANS and building regulations, manage client relationships, and collaborate with architects and contractors on landmark projects in the Cape Winelands.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or closely related field.
• At least 7 years of proven structural engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of various building types from concept to construction drawings.
• Perform advanced structural analysis for seismic, wind, and gravity loads using software.
• Prepare structural specifications, reports, and calculations.
