Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering with a structures specialization.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA or eligible.
• Minimum 10 years of post-graduate structural design and project management experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex structural projects.
• Extensive experience with structural analysis software and CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of material behaviour and seismic design principles.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of bridges, high-rise buildings, and industrial structures.
• Perform complex calculations and modelling with SAP2000, ETABS, and Revit Structure.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS and international codes.
• Develop detailed drawings, specs, and tender documents.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for structural components.
• Review junior engineers' designs and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with architects, other disciplines, and construction teams.
• Conduct site inspections and support construction phase.
• Contribute to proposals and client liaison.
