Placements24 seeks a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Durban practice. You will manage structural design and analysis for diverse building projects, collaborating with architects, contractors, and project teams on-site and in-office to ensure safe execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr Eng or Technologist is required.
• 6+ years of experience in structural engineering within the building sector is required.
• Proficiency in structural analysis/design software (Revit Structure, SAP2000, ETABS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for new buildings and renovations, ensuring code compliance and safety.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations using relevant design software.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to monitor progress and address structural issues.
• Collaborate with architects, clients and construction teams to achieve project goals.
• Perform structural assessments and provide recommendations for existing structures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building materials and construction techniques.
