This position is entirely remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in **South Africa**. You will be instrumental in the conceptualization, design, and technical oversight of complex bridge structures and other critical infrastructure projects. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a deep understanding of structural mechanics, material behavior, and advanced design methodologies. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of bridges, overpasses, and other transportation-related infrastructure projects.
• Perform advanced structural analysis, including seismic and dynamic load calculations, using state-of-the-art software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to a team of engineers and designers.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international structural codes and standards (e.g., SANS 10160, AASHTO).
• Undertake site inspections and provide support during the construction phase, coordinating remotely with site teams.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate structural materials and construction techniques.
• Mentor junior structural engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence within the remote team.
• Manage project risks and proactively identify potential design or construction challenges.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
