Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis for diverse projects, from high-rise structures to infrastructure, in a fully remote role across South Africa.

You will develop drawings, calculations, and reports, while collaborating with architects and project managers to ensure timely, compliant delivery. Pr. Eng. registration and 8+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is essential.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (Etabs, SAP2000, Revit Structure, AutoCAD).
• Experience with concrete, steel, and timber materials.
• Strong understanding of South African building codes (SANS) and international standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
