Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Drafter in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, to translate complex structural designs into precise drawings and BIM models. You will work with engineers to deliver high-quality plans for diverse building projects, ensuring compliance with codes and drafting standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong AutoCAD and Revit Structure skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering Technology, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Technology with a structural focus

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using CAD and BIM software.
• Translate structural engineers' designs and calculations into drawings.
• Develop and maintain 3D models for building structures.
• Ensure drawings comply with building codes, standards, and company drafting conventions.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and design team to resolve queries and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Produce detailed schedules and lists of materials based on structural designs.
• Review shop drawings for conformance with the design intent.
• Maintain drawing archives and document control procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and construction support documents.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in drafting technology and software.
