Placements24 seeks a Senior Structural Designer in Klerksdorp to produce detailed structural drawings for diverse building projects and collaborate with engineers and architects to translate concepts into constructible plans, ensuring SA code compliance.

You should have 6+ years of experience and proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD and Tekla Structures, with BIM experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven experience as a Structural Designer or Drafter.
• Proficiency in structural design and drafting software (Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla).
• Strong knowledge of steel, concrete and timber design principles.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed structural drawings, models and documentation for various building projects.
• Collaborate with Structural Engineers to translate concepts into constructible plans.
• Ensure designs adhere to National Building Regulations and SANS standards.
• Utilize CAD tools to create precise layouts and documentation.
• Coordinate designs with architecture, mechanical and electrical plans.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs from contractors.
• Assist in preparation of project specifications and material schedules.
• Maintain organized design records and participate in design reviews.
