Placements24, on behalf of a prestigious sports club in Bloemfontein, is seeking an experienced Senior Sports Club Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, facilities, member services and programming. You will lead staff, manage budgets, plan events, monitor performance, and ensure high-quality experiences for members while maintaining safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in sports club management or related operational role.
• Proven budgeting, financial management and staff supervision experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of daily club operations including facilities, membership services and programming.
• Develop and manage the operational budget to ensure financial efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee recruitment, training and management of club staff; foster a positive work environment.
• Maintain club facilities and equipment to high standards; ensure safety compliance.
• Plan, organize and execute club events, tournaments and social activities.
• Enforce policies and procedures; ensure member satisfaction and safety.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement of supplies and services.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as a key contact for members and address inquiries promptly.
