Placements24 is seeking a Senior Spa Manager for a prestigious luxury wellness retreat in Midrand, Gauteng. You will oversee all spa operations, lead a team, curate premium offerings, and drive profitability while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.

The role combines on-site management with select remote planning, demanding strong leadership, financial acumen, and a passion for wellness. You will collaborate with hotel management to ensure seamless guest journeys and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Spa or cosmetology qualification is an asset.
• 8+ years of spa management experience with 5+ years in senior leadership in luxury settings.
• Proven experience in managing spa operations, staff, and budgets.
• Knowledge of spa treatments, therapies, and wellness modalities.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Finance, marketing and sales understanding within hospitality.
• Experience with spa software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all spa operations, including scheduling, inventory, and financial performance.
• Develop and implement innovative spa services, packages, and promotions.
• Lead, train and motivate therapists, estheticians, and spa attendants.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and presentation standards.
• Develop and manage the spa budget, controlling costs and maximizing revenue.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Foster guest relationships, address inquiries, resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with hotel/retreat management for seamless guest experiences.
• Source skincare spa product suppliers and manage relationships.
• Implement online booking systems and client management software.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain clients.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide growth opportunities.
• Stay informed on industry best practices and trends.
