Qualifications

• Recognised professional culinary qualification.
• Experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in luxury hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Excellent understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Passionate about creativity, quality, and guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with the overall management of kitchen operations.
• Lead and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and development.
• Oversee food preparation, presentation, and consistency across all service periods.
• Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and creative culinary innovation.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety standards.
• Support service during busy periods, maintaining smooth kitchen flow.
• Conduct effective section handovers and communicate operational requirements.
• Uphold the property's five-star hospitality and culinary standards.
