Candidates should bring high-end hospitality experience, leadership skills and a passion for exceptional food quality, presentation and service in a luxury lodge setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or similar senior culinary position.
• Experience in luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food safety.
• Passion for quality, presentation and innovative cuisine.
• Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant culinary qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in day-to-day kitchen operation.
• Lead, motivate and develop the culinary team to ensure a professional and positive working environment.
• Maintain exceptional standards of food preparation, presentation and quality.
• Assist with menu planning, development and implementation.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and according to luxury hospitality standards.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and minimise wastage.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and lead by example.
• Assist with staff training and development.
• Ensure kitchen procedures and operational standards are consistently followed.
• Work closely with the front‑of‑house team to ensure a seamless guest dining experience.
