Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a knowledgeable Solar PV Specialist to join their Richards Bay team. The role covers design, installation, maintenance, and performance optimization of solar PV systems across residential, commercial and industrial projects.

You will work with leading solar technology providers, ensure safety and quality, and provide training and technical support to installation teams. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy and 4+ years hands-on experience are

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in the design and installation of solar PV systems.
Proficiency with PV design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVSyst).
Strong understanding of solar panel technologies, inverters, and mounting systems.
Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
Prepare technical proposals, including system layouts, component selection, and performance estimates.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of PV systems, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Conduct site inspections and performance monitoring of existing solar installations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PV system components and performance.
Provide technical support and training to installation teams and clients.
