Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Solar Power Engineer to join our client's team in Johannesburg. You will lead the design, development and implementation of utility-scale and distributed solar PV projects across Gauteng, ensuring feasibility and optimal performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy and at least 5 years in solar design, with proficiency in PVSyst, AutoCAD and Helioscope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar PV system design and engineering.
• Proficiency in solar design software (PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of grid interconnection standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
• Experience with energy storage systems and hybrid power solutions is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
