Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Specialist Software Asset Management professional in Randburg to driveoptimized licensing across Cloud, Server and End User Computing. You will manage software assets, ensure compliance, and lead cost-savings initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in SAM, certifications, and strong experience with Flexera, ITIL and major publishers. Collaboration across IT teams and governance frameworks is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) and IT-related bachelor or diploma.
• CSAM/IAITAM or related SAM certification preferred.
• ITIL certification and strong IT service management knowledge.
• 5+ years as a Software License Management specialist.
• Experience with SaaS license management and enterprise infra.
• Extensive experience with Flexera One and cloud tech
• Experience with publishers SAP, Microsoft, VMware, and cloud vendors

Responsibilities

• Manage software across the Software Asset Management lifecycle.
• Track licensing, ensure compliance, drive cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Optimize license agreements for Cloud, Server, and End User Computing.
• Maintain software asset inventory across platforms (AWS, Azure, Windows, Linux, etc).
• Ensure software compliance and audit readiness; prepare for audits.
• Maintain data in Flexera and CMDB alignment; governance adherence.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize renewals and harvesting.
• Promote automation and integration across platforms for SAM efficiency.
• Provide reports and dashboards on license positions and KPIs.
