Placements24 is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to oversee major infrastructure projects in Randburg, Gauteng. You will supervise on-site engineering activities, coordinate with managers and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time and within budget.

The role requires a strong background in construction methods, site management and quality control, with proven leadership and problem-solving abilities for large-scale developments in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• ECSA professional registration is advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in site engineering and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all site engineering operations per plans, specs, and safety rules.
• Develop and implement detailed construction schedules and work plans.
• Oversee quality control procedures, material testing, and inspections.
• Manage site teams including engineers, foremen, and labourers; provide direction.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project flow.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings; identify issues.
• Resolve on-site technical challenges promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain site records including as-built drawings.
