Placements24 is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to oversee key engineering aspects of infrastructure projects in Mahikeng, North West. The role requires a technically proficient professional with extensive on-site experience to ensure structural integrity, quality, and safety across construction works.

You will interpret designs, supervise technical staff and trades, and manage complex execution, while upholding QA/QC standards and health and safety compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional registration as Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng desirable.
• Minimum 7 years as Site Engineer or similar role.
• Experience delivering complex construction projects in Mahikeng or similar settings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering activities on construction sites per designs.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Oversee civil, structural, and mechanical/electrical works.
• Mentor junior site engineers and technical staff.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance with standards.
• Monitor progress and report against schedules.
• Enforce site safety protocols.
• Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Manage site surveying, setting out, and QA processes.
• Troubleshoot on-site engineering challenges and propose solutions.
