Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Site Engineer for a major civil infrastructure project in Mahikeng, North West. The role requires on-site leadership, extensive site supervision experience, and thorough knowledge of construction methods for large-scale works.

You will ensure safety, quality, cost control and timely delivery on a high-profile project. The successful candidate will manage on-site teams, coordinate with the design and client teams, produce progress reports, and drive site programs

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive site engineering experience in civil infrastructure.
• Professional registration (e.g., Pr Eng) is advantageous but not essential.
• Full-time on-site presence in Mahikeng, North West.
• Proven track record on large-scale civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities for civil infrastructure projects, including earthworks, road construction, and utility installations.
• Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement site-specific work programs, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate site teams, including foremen, operators, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
• Liaise with the project manager, design team, client representatives, and stakeholders.
