Placements24 is seeking a Senior Security Operations Analyst to join a globally distributed security team in a fully remote role. You will analyze security alerts, investigate threats, and drive improvements in security operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in SecOps or incident response, strong SIEM/EDR expertise, and professional certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, or CISSP. Expect collaboration across teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in security operations or incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, and security monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR and other tools.
• Lead and coordinate incident response activities (containment, eradication, recovery).
• Perform in-depth forensic analysis to determine root cause of incidents.
• Develop and refine security playbooks, SOPs, and detection rules.
• Mentor junior analysts on security best practices and threat hunting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security visibility and response.
