Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior SOC Analyst to enhance incident response and security monitoring within a dedicated SOC. You will lead alert analysis, investigations, and coordinate containment efforts while mentoring junior analysts and driving detection improvements.

Candidate must have 5+ years in SOC with senior experience, strong SIEM and EDR skills, and excellent communication abilities to protect critical assets in real-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, common attack vectors, and threat actor TTPs.
• Experience with incident response frameworks and forensic investigation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security tools.
• Investigate and analyze security incidents, determining scope, cause, and impact.
• Coordinate and lead incident response activities, ensuring timely and effective containment and eradication.
• Develop and refine detection rules and correlation logic within the SIEM platform.
• Mentor and guide junior SOC analysts, providing technical expertise and support.
• Create detailed incident reports and post-incident review documentation.
