Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Salesforce Solutions Architect to lead enterprise CRM initiatives in the banking sector. This role requires advanced Salesforce experience, architecture leadership, and hands-on development across the full stack.

You will drive end-to-end delivery from architecture through deployment, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with security and infrastructure guidelines. A strong background in banking CRM and certifications is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher with IT focus and NQF 7 qualification.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
• Currently pursuing Salesforce Application Architect certification.
• Minimum 5+ years in banking platforms with at least 1 year 6 months on Salesforce.
• Direct CRM project experience for middle market and enterprise clients.
• Strong software engineering skills on Force.com (Apex, LWC, SOQL, unit testing).
• Experience with relational databases, data modelling and ETL tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply critical thinking and problem solving in an agile team to deliver complex Salesforce solutions.
• Lead design and development lifecycle phases from design to deployment.
• Ensure solutions align with architecture, security and infrastructure guidelines.
• Assess feasibility and requirements to propose robust, scalable architectures.
• Develop high quality software and architecture in test- and domain-driven environments.
• Produce organized, optimized source code for production-ready features.
• Implement self-service, repeatable, testable and resilient designs.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deploy across multi-site environments.
• Leverage observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic) for monitoring.
• Automate tasks with Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes; perform code reviews and mentoring.
• Collaborate with guilds and SMEs to evolve technical products and standards.
• Apply unit and integration testing, and use stubbing tools where needed.
• Ensure development aligns with Group Architecture and security guidelines.
• Plan releases and manage risk with project teams when required.
• Contribute to incident management and DR exercises; maintain documentation.
