We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Lead Salesforce Developer to join our EB business unit in Sandton. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance Salesforce solutions within a complex banking environment. As a technical leader, you will guide a team of developers, manage the development lifecycle, and ensure that all technical implementations align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and security standards. This is a hybrid position for a duration of 5 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead the design and hands‑on development of Salesforce applications; provide technical mentorship to the development team and conduct rigorous code reviews.
- Solution Design & Development: Actively develop custom Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and complex integrations. Translate business requirements into technical designs that leverage the full Salesforce platform.
- System Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with banking systems and third‑party tools using REST, SOAP, and middleware solutions.
- Development Lifecycle Management: Own project timelines, conduct sprint planning, manage sandbox environments, and oversee deployments.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all implementations adhere to strict banking regulations and security best practices. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for compliance audits.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively within squads during the design and delivery phases to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership/team management role. 5+ years of experience within the banking or financial services industry.
- Core Technical Expertise: Mastery of Apex, Aura, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
- Administration & Security: Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, administration, and security best practices.
- DevOps & Agile: Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experienced with CI/CD practices for Salesforce, including robust branching and merging strategies.
- Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Administrator, at least one Salesforce Architect Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OmniStudio and MuleSoft.
- Advanced expertise in Systems and Integration Design.
- Proven ability to manage technical project delivery in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
