Job summary

Capitec Insurance is seeking a senior Salesforce developer to own the platform powering Funeral Cover, Life Cover and Credit Insurance for millions of South Africans. You will lead architectural decisions and build scalable, integrated solutions across policy administration, claims intake, adjudication and payments.

You’ll mentor junior developers, drive engineering standards, and evaluate new Salesforce capabilities to move the Insurance platform forward.

Qualifications

6+ years of software development with Salesforce exposure.
Back-end Java experience supports Salesforce development.
Proven design and delivery of complex Salesforce solutions.
Experience in regulated/financial services environments is a plus.
Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to engineers and stakeholders.
Interest in growing engineers on the team.

Responsibilities

Lead Salesforce architectural decisions across our Insurance platform.
Build and extend capabilities for policy lifecycle management, claims processing and CRM.
Design and implement integrations across policy administration, claims intake, adjudication and payments.
Build and maintain Apex logic, Lightning Web Components and Salesforce Flows.
Ensure platform scales across Life, Funeral and Credit Insurance.
Mentor junior and intermediate developers on the team.
Drive development standards and engineering best practices in Salesforce.
Evaluate and adopt Salesforce capabilities to move the platform forward.
