Job summary

Capitec Insurance is building a bold Salesforce-based platform to power life, funeral and credit insurance for millions in South Africa. We seek a senior Salesforce developer to own architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver end-to-end solutions across policy management, claims and CRM.

You will drive platform scalability, integrate with external systems, and push best practices in a collaborative, growth-oriented team. Hybrid work with in-office days.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development with Salesforce exposure.
• Back-end Java skills plus Salesforce integrations experience.
• Experience delivering end-to-end Salesforce solutions in regulated environments.
• Strong ability to explain technical decisions to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead Salesforce architectural decisions across our Insurance platform
• Build and extend policy lifecycle, claims, and CRM capabilities
• Design and implement integrations across policy administration, claims intake, adjudication and payments
• Build Apex logic, LWC components and Flows for insurance operations
• Ensure scalable platform as Life, Funeral, and Credit Insurance grow
• Mentor developers on the team
• Drive development standards and best practices in Salesforce
• Evaluate and introduce Salesforce capabilities to advance the platform
