Job summary

Top Vitae Recruitment is seeking a senior Sales Manager: Cleaning & Hygiene to lead a technical sales team and build strategic customer partnerships in South Africa. You will support key accounts, understand operations, and translate customer needs into commercial solutions.

The role requires extensive travel across South Africa and abroad when required, with a focus on sustainable growth in B2B markets and strong leadership of Technical Sales Advisors.

Qualifications

• Senior sales experience with leadership of a technical sales team.
• Track record of delivering sales revenue and gross profit growth.
• Relevant technical sales experience within food, industrial hygiene, food chemicals, water treatment or related sectors.
• Knowledge of cleaning and hygiene processes in food-processing environments (CIP, open plant cleaning).
• Understanding of HACCP, GMP and/or Food Safety Management Systems.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strategic customer relationships and convert new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the divisional sales strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities, expand into target markets and grow customer base.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and increase share of wallet.
• Lead and coach the sales team with clear targets and accountability for pipeline and results.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, manage pricing and margins, oversee CRM and reporting.
