Job summary

Yuppiechef is seeking a Store Manager in Cape Town to oversee daily store operations, lead a team of retail associates, and drive sales while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will train staff on policies and product knowledge, manage inventory, ensure store standards, and collaborate with management to develop strategies to improve performance and customer experience. A premium brand background and 3–5 years in retail are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in a premium retail environment.
• Experience with POS and stock management systems.
• Customer-centric brand experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Lead and motivate a team of retail associates to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Train new employees on store policies, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management to ensure stock availability.
• Maintain store appearance and cleanliness standards to provide an inviting atmosphere for customers.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist in scheduling and managing employee shifts to optimize staffing levels.
• Implement company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for increasing sales and improving overall store performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the store.

What experience and skills you need for the role

• Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a premium brand in a retail environment with a knowledge of sales principles
• Knowledge of various POS and stock management systems. You must feel comfortable working with different systems and technology
• Experience in a customer‑centric brand
• Grade 12 / Matriculation
• Advantageous: Supervisory experience

Pay and Benefits:

We pay competitive, market‑related salaries based on skills and experience. Your salary is based on a “Total Cost To Company” model and includes:
