Placements24 is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to join a fully remote risk management team. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks across the organization, while developing frameworks and delivering strategic guidance to leadership.

The candidate will lead risk assessments, KRIs/KPIs, and collaborate with business units to foster a risk-aware culture, with mentoring for junior analysts and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in risk management, financial analysis, or a related field within the financial services industry.
• Proven expertise in risk assessment methodologies, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and compliance risk.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in risk management software and data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL, Excel).
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and monitor key financial, operational, and compliance risks across the organization.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments, including scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Analyze risk data and generate comprehensive reports for senior management and relevant committees.
• Develop and track key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with business units to promote a strong risk-aware culture.
• Provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and ensure their effective implementation.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices in risk management.
• Assist in internal and external audits related to risk management.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the team's overall knowledge development.
