Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Risk Analyst to support the management of a commercial insurance portfolio. The role is primarily remote, with responsibilities spanning data-driven risk assessment and actionable recommendations to improve profitability.

You will develop models, analyze industry risks, and collaborate with underwriters and actuaries to inform pricing and risk strategies. A strong quantitative background and remote-work capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of risk analysis experience in insurance.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with statistical modeling and data analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical data and trends to assess risks in the commercial portfolio.
• Develop and maintain quantitative risk models to estimate losses.
• Evaluate underwriting submissions for risk exposure and provide recommendations.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify concentration or elevated risk.
• Prepare risk reports for senior management with KPIs and mitigations.
• Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, claims, and compliance teams.
• Support risk management policy development and regulatory research.
• Assess impact of economic, political, environmental factors on risk profile.
• Apply advanced data analytics to derive insights from large datasets.
