Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee residential construction projects in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will lead the full project lifecycle from planning to close-out, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Construction Management or related field, with at least 6 years of PM experience in residential builds, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Project and Procore, plus willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management within the residential construction sector.
• Proven track record of delivering complex residential projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and PM best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
• Understanding of contract administration and financial management.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of residential construction projects, from pre-construction to project completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and building codes.
• Manage relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and the management of site logistics.
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on all construction sites.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
• Prepare project reports, financial updates, and status communications for stakeholders.
• Ensure project close-out procedures are completed efficiently and effectively.
