Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer to join our remote team. You will assess production forecasts and development options by building, calibrating, and running full-field reservoir simulations to support strategic field decisions in a distributed international environment.

The role requires 8+ years in reservoir simulation, advanced degrees, and proficiency with Eclipse, CMG Suite, and Petrel RE.

Qualifications

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum 8 years of experience specifically in reservoir simulation within the Oil & Gas industry.
Proven ability to build, calibrate, and run complex dynamic models.

Responsibilities

Develop, build, and calibrate full-field reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software.
Perform dynamic data analysis and history matching to ensure model accuracy.
Conduct simulation studies to predict future reservoir performance under various production strategies.
Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of different development options, including infill drilling and EOR methods.
Generate production forecasts and assess uncertainty associated with reserve estimates.
Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate geological and operational data into simulation models.
Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and recommendations based on simulation results.
Mentor junior simulation engineers and contribute to the team's technical expertise.
Stay abreast of advancements in reservoir simulation technology and methodologies.
Ensure the quality and integrity of simulation workflows and results.
