Placements24 is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Finance Manager to lead financial modeling, investment analysis, and project financing for renewable energy ventures in Bloemfontein. The role blends strategic finance leadership with hands-on modeling and stakeholder negotiations.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in project/corporate finance within the renewables sector, strong analytical skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
Master's degree or CFA/CA(SA) certification is highly desirable.
7+ years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, or investment banking with renewable energy focus.
Proven experience in financial modeling, valuation and structuring complex deals.
Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics and SA regulatory frameworks.
Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial modeling software and MS Office Suite.
Strong negotiation and communication skills; ability to build relationships with financial institutions.
Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Based in or willing to relocate to Bloemfontein, Free State.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain complex financial models for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro).
Conduct feasibility studies and investment appraisals for potential projects.
Secure project financing through negotiations with banks and investors.
Manage budgeting, forecasting and reporting for project portfolios.
Analyze financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare financial proposals, presentations and reports for stakeholders.
Monitor market conditions and industry best practices in renewables finance.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
Collaborate with legal, technical and commercial teams to meet financial objectives.
Evaluate financial performance and identify optimization opportunities.
