Job summary

Placements24 is actively sourcing a Legal Advisor specializing in Property Law to join its progressive legal team. This remote role covers property acquisition, development, leasing, and disposition across South Africa, with autonomy to influence strategic decisions from anywhere in the country backed by robust digital infrastructure.

You will review and draft sale and lease agreements, conduct due diligence, and ensure compliance with property legislation.

Qualifications

Admitted Attorney or Conveyancer with at least 5 years of relevant property law experience.
Strong understanding of Deeds Registries Act, sectional titles legislation, and other property statutes.
Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex property agreements.
Ability to work remotely and manage a caseload independently.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Review and draft property-related legal documents, including sale and lease agreements.
Conduct due diligence on properties for acquisition or development.
Advise on zoning, land use, environmental regulations and related compliance.
Manage legal aspects of property disputes, evictions, and landlord-tenant matters.
Liaise with external legal professionals, government agencies, and lenders on property transactions.
