Placements24 seeks a dedicated Property Law Specialist to support a fully remote legal team, with potential base in Welkom. The role covers conveyancing, leasing, and development across a diverse property portfolio.

You will advise on transactions, guide on zoning, and manage matters remotely while maintaining high professional standards. The ideal candidate is an admitted attorney with 5+ years in property law, capable of handling autonomous caseloads and leveraging legal software.

Qualifications

Admitted Attorney with at least 5 years of dedicated experience in property law.
Proficiency in conveyancing procedures and relevant legal software.
Strong understanding of sectional title schemes, township establishment, and land use planning.
Excellent client management and communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and manage a remote caseload efficiently.
Experience with property finance and development is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of property transactions, including drafting and registering deeds of transfer and bonds.
Review and advise on commercial and residential lease agreements.
Provide legal guidance on property development projects and zoning regulations.
Conduct due diligence on property acquisitions and disposals.
Resolve property-related disputes and litigation effectively.
Ensure compliance with all relevant property legislation and municipal bylaws.
