Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Mine Planning Engineer to design and optimize mine layouts, production schedules, and resource utilization. You will collaborate with geological and operational teams to create long-term mine plans from a remote work setup.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in mine planning, strong skills in Deswik or Vulcan, and the ability to work independently while meeting project timelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
7+ years in mine planning and design.
Proficient with Deswik and Vulcan software.

Responsibilities

Develop short-term and long-term mine plans, including pit designs and production schedules.
Perform mine design and layout optimization using specialized software.
Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new projects and expansions.
Collaborate with geologists to integrate resource models into mine plans.
Ensure plans comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and drawings for stakeholders.
