Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer for a global automotive leader. The role concentrates on designing, developing, and validating electrical architectures for next‑gen vehicles, including power distribution, sensors, and ECUs, all from a home office.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide, run simulations (EMC, transient), write schematics and BOMs, and define component requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; master's preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years in automotive electrical systems engineering.
• Experience with AUTOSAR is a plus.
• Proficient with CAD tools and simulation software; remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive electrical system architectures including power distribution.
• Define requirements for electrical components, sensors, actuators, and ECUs.
• Perform electrical system simulations and analyses (EMC, transient).
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams for integrated systems.
• Develop and execute test plans for validation of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during development and production.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, documentation, and BOMs.
• Stay current with automotive electrical tech and industry standards.
• Work with suppliers to ensure component quality and timely delivery.
