Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to join a remote-first engineering team. You will design, validate, and integrate advanced automotive systems across powertrain control, vehicle dynamics, and ADAS, working with global colleagues from your home office.

You will define system requirements, develop architectures, and ensure seamless integration of ECUs and subsystems using MATLAB/Simulink and other industry tools.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive systems engineering or related discipline.
• Deep understanding of automotive architectures, ECUs, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
• Proficiency with system modeling and simulation tools.
• Experience with requirements management tools and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Define and document system requirements and specifications for ECUs and integrated systems.
• Develop system architectures and designs ensuring functionality, performance, and safety.
• Lead integration and validation of hardware and software components within complex automotive systems.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) to analyze system behavior and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues throughout the development lifecycle.
