Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Aircraft Systems Software Developer to join our engineering team. This fully remote role focuses on embedded software for safety-critical aircraft systems, including flight control, navigation, and comms.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy software in a distributed, remote-friendly environment. The ideal candidate has a BS/MS in CS or AE, 5+ years in embedded development, proficiency in C/C++, RTOS, and DO-178C, plus experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, with aerospace or safety-critical systems experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and RTOS experience.
• Familiarity with DO-178C development standards.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and debug embedded software for safety-critical aircraft systems using C/C++.
• Develop and maintain RTOS and related software components.
• Follow rigorous DO-178C compliant development processes.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware engineers, and testers in a remote team.
• Perform software integration, unit testing, and system-level testing.
