Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly innovative and experienced Remote Aviation Systems Engineer to join our advanced engineering team. This role focuses on design, development, and integration of aviation systems with emphasis on flight control, navigation, and communication technologies, all from a remote setting.

You will work with a global team, using MATLAB/Simulink, STK, and industry standards (DO-178C/DO-254) to model, analyze, and validate concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation systems engineering or a similar discipline.
• Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
• Experience with simulation and modeling software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, STK).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Effective communication skills suitable for remote collaboration and technical presentations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test complex aviation systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and project managers, using virtual collaboration tools.
• Conduct system analysis, performance modeling, and simulation to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including system requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in aerospace technology and propose innovative solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing and integration teams as needed, remotely.
