The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field, 6+ years of PM experience in real estate or construction, and strong leadership with remote team coordination.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a progressive real estate development company known for its innovative urban projects, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Real Estate Project Manager . This fully remote position requires a proactive leader capable of managing complex real estate development and construction projects from inception through completion. The successful candidate will oversee budgets, timelines, stakeholder coordination, and ensure quality control across multiple projects, with a particular focus on developments within or impacting the Nelspruit, Mpumalanga region. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to thrive in an autonomous, location-independent work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all phases of real estate development projects, including planning, design, permitting, financing, construction, and close-out. Develop and meticulously manage project budgets, ensuring financial discipline and cost control. Create and maintain realistic project schedules, monitoring progress and proactively addressing potential delays. Oversee and coordinate the work of architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders. Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and company standards. Conduct site visits and inspections as necessary, maintaining a keen oversight of construction progress and quality. Facilitate communication and collaboration among all project team members and stakeholders. Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed. Prepare regular project status reports for senior management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and financial performance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field. A Master's degree is a significant advantage. Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in project management within the real estate development or construction industry. Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex real estate projects concurrently. In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, permitting processes, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore). Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage remote teams and coordinate effectively with geographically dispersed stakeholders. Proficiency in utilizing digital collaboration tools and remote work technologies. Understanding of the property development landscape in Mpumalanga is beneficial.
