Job summary

RPO Recruitment's client, a reputable building contractor based in Johannesburg, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead cost and contractual control on industrial and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying with at least 10 years’ experience, strong JBCC/NEC knowledge, and proven leadership and presentation skills. Travel to sites outside Gauteng may be required, and CCS/MS Office proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a reputable building contractor
• At least 5 years’ experience on industrial and commercial projects
• Strong technical and contractual knowledge (JBCC, NEC, or similar)
• Standalone, confident, and well-spoken professional with excellent presentation and communication skills
• Leadership abilities and the ambition to grow into a senior management/directorship position over time
• Own vehicle (petrol card provided)
• Willingness to travel to sites outside Gauteng as required
• Proficiency in CCS and MS Office
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
