Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a prominent real estate developer in Midrand, Gauteng. You will manage project costs from inception to completion, prepare cost estimates, tender analyses, and administer contracts to ensure profitability on commercial developments.

The ideal candidate has 7–9 years of experience in commercial construction, Pro.QS preferred, and strong skills in CostX/CCS Candy and MS Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
Professional qualification (Pr.QS) is highly preferred.
7–9 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on commercial construction, cost planning, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates and feasibility studies for new commercial projects.
Develop and manage project budgets throughout the lifecycle.
Prepare tender documents, conduct tender analysis, and recommend contractor appointments.
Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Manage variations, claims, and disputes to minimize financial risks.
Conduct site valuations and prepare interim payment certificates.
Monitor project expenditure and forecast final costs accurately.
Prepare final accounts and project closure reports.
Provide cost-saving and value engineering recommendations.
Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
